Glimpsed out of a bus window, but not already on the site, so as one of South Molton's more striking buildings, with its "good cast iron balcony" http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1164161 , it seems worth submitting. The description gives its date as c. 1840.

It's not a Trig Point
A commemorative pillar outside St Mary Magdalene's Church.
Closer inspection will show a small blue painted stone on top of the pillar.
A new game trend currently sweeping the South West.
The idea is paint a stone. Place it so someone can find it and move it to a new location to be moved again.
I moved this from the nearby car park. Less than 400 mtrs away.
