Parade Terrace
The front of the houses and accommodation along Capstone Road faces directly and bravely out into the Bristol Channel. Ilfracombe was a small fishing village until the early 1800s, when it began to be a place for enjoying the environment for wealthier travellers. As the place expanded and the seaside experience became more available to lesser pockets the rush to build in prime spots brought much growth. Here some of the buildings are of greatly differing dates of construction but all provide a view to savour.
