Old Milestone west of Chelfham Bridge
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of SHIRWELL (NORTH DEVON District), Budd's Wood, 500m West of Chelfham viaduct, on riverside road, at bottom of bank in low wall, tight against the road, on South side of road. Barum tombstone, erected by the Barnstaple turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 4 BARUM Milestone Society National ID: DV_BSIFc04
