Telephone Box with a view
At the corner of Higher Shapter Street and The Strand there is a concrete jetty. The estuary can be seen when making a phone call. Small boats can be seen leaning against the wall.

House on The Strand, Topsham

Numbers 26-32, The Strand, Topsham
Some of the C17 merchants' houses lining this street facing the river Exe. The nearest house, Old Court, has proud urns above its brick piers; Dyke House, the next one along, with its traditional Dutch gable, used to have the small building beyond it as its counting house.

Topsham museum
The museum is house in a C17 merchant's house (altered in the C18) which, distinctively and typically for Topsham, runs back from the Strand just one room wide, with a yard (in this case on the right). On the left is Lower Shapter Street. Seen across the Strand from the riverside garden.
