Lucky Lane
Intriguing name, apparently a corruption of Larkbeare and it was once called Graves Street as it is close to the old burial grounds of the Greyfriars.

Colleton Crescent, Exeter (2)
Local builder-architect Matthew Nosworthy graced the centre of Georgian Exeter with a number of very high quality terraces to rival many of those in London. They are distinguished by their expanses of handsome red brick, stucco bands, arched ground-floor windows and Coade stone doorcases (

Lucky Lane, leading to Melbourne Street, Exeter
Lucky Lane is a minor road between the listed buildings in Friars Walk and Colleton Crescent, and giving access to their rear entrances. There is a variety of building styles with old stone boundary walls and modern infill. The house on the right shows signs of considerable alteration, with bricked up window spaces.

Colleton Crescent, Exeter
This fine gently curving terrace was built in 1802-14, and is by the same architect as
Image, Matthew Nosworthy. Note the neo-classical additions to the leftmost house. The terrace, built above a river cliff, overlooks the Exe, but is hidden by trees from most views from the southwest.
