Reedmace at Belle Isle
Typha latifolia, Great Reedmace: Typha angustifolia, Lesser Reedmace: I am not sure which this is as the two species are very similar and can grow side-by-side. Reedmace have thick rhizomes and along with other marshland plants are valued for stabilizing the waters edge by rivers canals and lakes.
