Hurst's almshouses, Exeter
A plaque on one of the three blocks reads "Exeter Consolidated Almshouses: The benefaction of William Hurst 1567, erected 1928". Genuki http://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/Exeter/ExeterHist1850/Almshouses.html has an 1850 description of Hurst's almshouses being in Paris Street, about 500 metres to the north, and built in 1821. Now their replacements, on Fairpark Road, overlook Bull Meadow.
