Whilst Bude was in Stratton parish, the Flexbury suburb was in Poughill, which became part of 'Stratton and Bude Urban District' (renamed Bude-Stratton in 1934) in 1900.

Water Inlet Trash Screen
This is Flexbury FAS Cedar Grove Inlet Trash Screen. There is another such screen located at the junction of Flexbury Park Road and Golf House Road and they appear to be to prevent large items of rubbish entering culverted sections of the streams.
