The Bude Canal
Now an important North Cornwall leisure area, with some fine canal side dwellings. Somewhat different to when I was last here in 1968 and the buildings along here were mostly commercial: Image

Canoeing on the Bude Canal
A somewhat dirty image I'm afraid. I have submitted it as I believe that it has historical value with the canal side buildings still in their original form. That furthest from the camera (with the adjacent coach) has now been converted to what appears to be residential use (see Image). It's a long time since I visited Bude, but a check with Google Earth suggests that the buildings closer to the camera have been replaced. P.S. the canoeist is my wife of, then, just one week!

The former steam laundry, Bude
Originally built around 1840, and now converted to residential use, the Old Steam Laundry was Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101141820-old-steam-laundry-bude-stratton#.WfAvMvlSyM8 in 1985. Most of the architecture and style are original, although the roof windows were added as part of the conversion process.
