The Burgoyne Monument in St Andrew's Church South Tawton
This slate and stone tablet on the wall of the South Chapel is dated 1651 and is in memory of Robert Burgoyne, his wife and their family. Those who are commemorated include a child in a cradle and an infant in a shroud.

Church of St Andrew, South Tawton
The church was largely rebuilt in the C15, and has a fine three-stage west tower http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-95001-church-of-st-andrew-south-tawton . There are numerous listed tombs and headstones in the churchyard, including the Goss chest tomb (1705) visible a little way away in the centre of the image.
