Old Milestone near Great Hole Farm, Lapford
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of LAPFORD (MID DEVON District), Great Hole Farm, on left side of entrance, on grass verge, close to fence, on East side of road. Exeter tombstone, erected by the Exeter turnpike trust in the 18th century.

Milestone and track to Great Hole Farm
The milestone reads XVII miles to Exon (17 miles to Exeter) and presumably dates from the time when this road was a turnpike from north Devon through Crediton to Exeter.
