Drayford Bridge
The bridge, across the Little Dart, seen from the upstream side, and visible in Image It was built in 1914-1915, and a detailed account of the squabble over its construction is at http://www.witheridge-historical-archive.com/bridge.htm . This reproduces a newspaper account of its opening: "a handsome structure of stone, with brick arches and coigns of Dartmoor granite ... the structure was "christened" by dashing a bottle of champagne against the centre of one of the parapet walls."
