Old Milestone near Shute Cross, Newton St Cyres parish
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of NEWTON ST CYRES (MID DEVON District), 50m South of Shute Cross, embedded low in bank close to road, on East side of road. Exeter tombstone, erected by the Exeter turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- (5) (MILES) (T)O (E)XETER Milestone Society National ID: DV_EXSP05.
