Workers' housing, Tiverton
Built for John Heathcoat's lace mill this is one of two three storey rows in Heathcoat Square. One source claims that these have flats for single workers above two storey houses although another book suggests the upper floor was for outworking. The two rows face each other across gardens.

Heathcoat Fabrics, Tiverton
Heathcoat Fabrics is a market-leading manufacturer of knitted and woven fabrics. John Heathcoat established a lace factory here in 1816 in a disused mill and this modern works is his legacy and still working in the 21st century over 200 years since the company was founded.

Heathcoat Fabrics, Tiverton
John Heathcoat established a lace factory here in 1816 in a disused mill. The two entrance lodges date from this time. The big mill building behind dates from 1936 and replaces the earlier building destroyed by a fire. This is one of the few working textile concerns in the West Country and covers a considerable area.
