St Mary's church, Uffculme - Walrond & Ayshford monuments
There are two separate monuments here, the principal one is of 1663 to Sir William Walrond, his figure in red and blue is accompanied by similar figures of his wife and son. Other family members are depicted below in the medallions. Lying recumbent on the window ledge is Nicholas Ayshford of Ayshford Court, who after his death in 1701 left money to found a local grammar school.
