Feniton railway station, Devon
Opened in 1860 as Sidmouth Junction by the London & South Western Railway on the line from Yeovil Junction to Exeter, this station closed in 1967. It was reopened as Feniton in 1971.
View south east towards Honiton and Yeovil Junction. As its former name suggests, this was the junction for the branch line to Sidmouth until 1967. The bay platform was where the trees now are, beyond the station 'building'. The disused eastbound platform can still be seen to the left of the line. Not much seems to have changed in the 17 years since Image] was taken.
