Feniton: the old village centre
More or less a repeat of the scene in Image; five years on, the only obvious change is that the round bush in the centre of Martin's image has been somewhat blitzed. On the left of the row of buildings is Court Barton, a former farmhouse http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-86830-court-barton-feniton . It adjoins Thorn Cottage http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-86831-thorn-cottage-feniton . Continuing the row at a lower level are Parr Cottages http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-86832-parr-cottages-1-2-and-3-feniton .

Chestnut tree at the junction, Feniton
Update e-mailed Dec 2009 from Paul Livsey (many thanks Paul): "The tree was planted in 1903 Unfortunately probably one of the last photos of the tree in bloom as the tree was diseased and was cut down in October. There now lies a pile of sawdust! I believe some cuttings were taken from the tree and a healthy one will be planted at a later stage."
