High Street Honiton
The pavements of the high street have semi circular cast iron gutters embedded in them close to the road so that there is in effect two gutter. The gutter is made up from lengths about 3 feet long each section having a male and female end which butt together neatly to make leak proof joints. The fine dry weather meant that debris had started to accumulate in the gutters.
