Honiton from the station
You might expect this, the north platform, to be the one where you catch the up train towards Waterloo (keep left and all that), but no, most of them stop on the south platform, as we found to our cost when trying to get family and friend on a train a couple of years ago. Anyway, through the railings can be seen, on the right, houses on New Street and on the left, Westcott Mills, occupied by Avonside Commercial & Industrial Roofing. Overlooking the town from the north is St Cyres Hill. If anyone can enlighten me on the significance of "472A" on the marker, I'd be grateful.
