A358 at the Kit River
The Fosse Way rounds a bend as it crosses the Kit River. There's absolutely no sign of a bridge in the picture - the river is very tiny. And this road from Axminster to Chard has only occasional straight stretches that one would associate with a Roman road.

The farm is on the northern side of the shallow valley of a stream flowing to the Axe. Much of this stretch of road follows the Roman Fosse Way, and it crosses this valley in a straight line
