Old carpet factory, Silver Street, Axminster.
This was erected in 1828 on the site of Thomas Whitty's original carpet factory that was destroyed by fire 2 years earlier. It closed in 1835 and was then used as a hospital for a period. The Conservative Club is in the section closest to the camera.
