Junction of Regent Square with Fore Street, Heavitree
Below the street sign is an engraved stone, Regents Square 1883, with the monogram JE in between. This is for John James Fry Ellis, who was a plumber responsible for the speculative development of sixty houses built before there were bye-laws requiring rear entrances. The shop on the corner is a charity shop for an Exeter cancer support charity
