This shop stands in Polsloe Road opposite the junction with Grendon Road. Notices on the windows warn shoppers not to park on the tempting pavement area in front of the shop, as traffic wardens may pounce and issue a ticket.

Old Coach Lane, Polsloe Road, Exeter
This narrow lane runs between the rear gardens of houses in Mont le Grand and Regents Park. It now gives access to the garages of the house, and to the dwellings that have been built in the bottom of those long gardens. Presumably it formerly led to stables and coach houses

Until 1913, the Exeter suburb of Heavitree had its own Urban District Council. The stone in Polsloe Road survives to show the boundary.
