Interior of St Matthew's church, Exeter
This picture was taken from the west gallery, used as a store. On the left, there is a banner (red, yellow & green) presented to St Sidwell's Church in Exeter by the people of St Sidwell's Church in Guyana, South America. St Sidwell's is now united with St Matthew's. St Sidwell (or Sidwella) is the patron saint of Exeter, an early Christian martyr. There are very few churches dedicated to her.
