On the Coast Path on the Golf Course
It's a steep climb on the coast path out of the Axe Valley and it just carries going on up through the Axe Cliff golf course. This photo looks back downhill to the clubhouse. The golfers drive to it of course. In the distance, across the bay, are the chalk cliffs of Beer Head.

Notice and signpost, Axe Cliff Golf Club
A (scarcely) veiled threat to walkers who have just managed a stiff climb from Seaton and who might rather fancy a rest to admire the views - "for your own safety please do not linger in this area". I resent landowners who try to tell me at what speed I should walk; a year ago I was instructed "do not run" by a notice on a Yorkshire footpath. Anyway, this is the coast path crossing the golf course on Axmouth Bridleway 1 - I wonder what sort of speed they would like bikes and horses to maintain.
