Quarry Lane
This lane leads from the northern end of Beer village west towards the quarries and cave where Beer Freestone was quarried. This stone is a chalk limestone with excellent carving qualities that was much used in many of Britain's cathedrals. It hardens considerable on exposure to the atmosphere
