WW2 remains
View east along the coast path along the top of West Cliff with the remains of a WW2 coastal defence gun emplacement. The lintel exposed to the right of the path looks like an underground crew shelter/magazine for the gun which was mounted at the concrete and stone structure to the left of the path at the brow of the hillImage The path carries on west past the maze to the Chine. There are fissures in the ground between the Chine and here and there have been some falls onto the West Walk in the last couple of years.
