Civic Centre, Dix's Field, Exeter
An atypically assertive post-war building for the city, by the City Architect, Vinton Hall, 1965-72. Two pre-cast concrete-clad blocks connected by a bridge, and a single-storey one behind.
Still the head offices of Exeter City Council.

A redundant postbox and council office building
The postbox was declared redundant in June 2017. A notice to that effect is taped to the box, and the letter slot has been sealed shut. On the opposite side of Paris Street is part of Exeter Civic Centre, offices of the city council.

Skip, Exeter
All the office chairs have been binned; surely some of them are still serviceable? As I'm about to embark on stage three of a five bus journey, I'm not in a position to take advantage. This is outside the city's Civic Centre.

Junction of Paris Street and Southernhay, Exeter
A threatening sky over Exeter. The road in the left foreground still bears the name "Southernhay" on the street plate, although traffic can no longer reach the main part of Southernhay Green, East or West, and the road leads only to car parks, one of which is on the left (see also http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=5066385 ). Bampfylde Street meets Paris Street, Exeter
Only buses (I'm sitting on a number 2, which explains the reflection) and coaches may leave Bampfylde Street at these traffic lights; only bicycles may enter - oh, and pedestrians. Will this pair make it before the lights change? Across Paris Street is Dix's Field.
