A building site that has replaced a very undistinguished brick industrial building. There is an arch seen in the background that is over a leat that still carries water.

Construction of student apartments, Frog Street, Exeter
A later stage of development of the site seen in Image There does not appear to be a Geograph from this direction of the original industrial building which was occupied by a company called Radmore and Tucker who sold garden machinery, except for the side wall in Image and the view of the roofscape and side wall in Image

Buildings on the left have been demolished
The brick industrial buildings on the left have now ( July 2017) been replaced by a large building site. Seen from New Bridge Street. I cannot find another view of this particular building complex on Geograph.

Town Leat, Exeter
This is the leat supplying Cricklepit Mill and is seen heading under a building site. This is a surprisingly hidden water course that you have to work quite hard to see. This is through a gap between two buildings.

Plaque on house in West Street, Exeter
Reading: Exeter Civic Society. From 1922-1985 this building was the home and workshop of Cecil "Charlie" Brewer 1895-1985 bootmaker and pigeon breeder. From his loft at these premises his pigeon Mary of Exeter carried top secret messages in World War 2, winning the Dickin Medal for animal gallantry

A steep street leading from one of the former city gates to Fore Street. Part way up, on the house which is pale blue, there is a blue plaque to honour the homing pigeon, Mary of Exeter, and her owner/trainer, Cecil "Charlie" Brewer.
