The Wool Brook goes under Sidford Road
The dam like structure is left over from WWII, so as to raise the height of the river to draw water in case of fire as a result of an air raid.

Clubhouse, Sidmouth Town AFC
Located in Manstone Recreation Ground, set back 30 metres from the east side of Manstone Lane,
the clubhouse is the home of Sidmouth Town AFC (Association Football Club). Their home fixtures are played on the pitch on the south side of the clubhouse. The club's nickname is The Vikings, a reference to the Viking longship in Sidmouth's coat of arms.
