Radway cinema
Originally the Radway Theatre, it opened on 25th June, 1928. Designed by local architect P.E. Steadman, it seated nearly 700. With the arrival of the movies, it was converted into a cinema, with noted architect William Henry Watkins applying his plans in 1929. The Radway has remained a cinema ever since, barring a few periods for major refurbishment. In 2020 it was awarded more than £42,000 from the Government's Culture Recovery Fund.
