Manor Pavilion
Sidmouth's entertainments venue was originally built and dedicated to the townfolk by John Edmund Balfour. The architects were R. C. Murray Associates and the theatre opened on 18th December, 1891. The local council took over the running in the 1950s and made several alterations and extensions over time.

Manor Pavilion Arts Centre, Sidmouth
Manor Pavilion, on the corner of Station Road and Manor Road, was built as a dance hall.
It was converted to a theatre the early 1970s. The theatre entrance is from Manor Road. In view is the Station Road side, housing the Arts Centre, a large open space suitable for a variety of uses such as exhibitions, classes and rehearsals. Manor Pavilion is owned and managed by East Devon District Council.
