Waltham Cross: The Eleanor Cross
Erected by King Edward I in 1294, the cross is one of the only three surviving of the twelve that marked the resting places of the body of his wife, Queen Eleanor, when it was taken from Harby in Nottinghamshire, where she died in December 1290, to Westminster Abbey. The cross is now in a pedestrianized zone at the junction of Eleanor Cross Road with the High Street.

PNG, a large car showroom and repair shop for Vauxhalls, which also had a smaller branch in Enfield, went into receivership earlier in the year.

Roundabout, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
Looking across the roundabout with the exit leading to Cheshunt and Waltham Abbey on the A 1010. The building on the other side of the roundabout on the corner is the former PNG Vauxhall Dealership car showroom and repair shop. The company went out of business earlier this year.
