These buildings are fairly new but already one can see the discolouration of brickwork at parapet level. Interesting to compare with shops in Chingford

Goff's Oak: The Church of St James
The foundation stone for this church was laid in 1860, and the building was completed in 1862. It is the parish church of both Goff's Oak and Hammond Street to the north, and is located, unsurprisingly, on St James Road. Alas the clock was not functioning as it was not twelve o'clock when the photo was taken!

Shops at Goff's Oak
Since the previous photograph of the two shops shown here Image, the independent pharmacy has become a branch of Boots in the intervening 6 years, but the Co-Operative remains open.
