Kingfisher at Rye Meads Nature Reserve
Seen from the Kingfisher Hide. In some 4+ hours of observation, at the RSPB site, this little chap spent all of 10 seconds on this perch! The rest of the time, the kingfishers were in the nest, incubating their second batch of eggs, or flitting about towards the far side of the pond. http://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/r/ryemeads/index.aspx

Kingfisher
Seen at Rye Meads RSPB Reserve. I'm no birding expert, but from comments in the hide, I'm led to believe that this is the male. Currently incubating eggs, this bird is ringed. I had the briefest glimpse of both birds together, as they swapped incubating duties.
