River Lea at Broxbourne
Here, the River Lea (or Lee) forms the border between the counties of Essex (on the opposite bank) and Hertfordshire (this bank). The houses opposite are therefore in Essex. The towpath is a shared path for walking and cycling.

River Lea at Broxbourne
Looking across a meadow to the reach seen on the right of Image, from the railway line between Broxbourne and Cheshunt. The flat-roofed building on the left is Broxbourne Rowing Club; the houses, separated from it by a side channel of the Lea, are on the appropriately named Riverside Avenue.
