Reflections in the Scottish Widows Building
The Scottish Widows building at Dalkeith Road was opened in 1976. It was designed by Sir Basil Spence and it is a hexagonal, honeycomb shape that achieved awards for its design team.

Edinburgh's east-west suburban streets afford heart-stopping views of features of Holyrood Park. Here Nether Hill, or the Lion's Haunch, dwarfs the glass-clad offices in Dalkeith Road, believed to be occupied by Scottish Widows.

Watch tower, East Preston Street Cemetery
Built in response to the resurrectionists who stole newly interred corpses to sell to the University anatomists. The most infamous of course being Burke and Hare who cut out the middleman, but most "body snatching" was exhumation of the naturally deceased.
