Mural, Halmyre Street
A viaduct crossed the street here, part of the Leith New Lines of the Caledonian Railway. This was mainly a freight route linking the docks at Leith. Behind the mural is an intact viaduct with industrial units under the arches.

Foot of Easter Road
The name of the Persevere Bar on the corner is from the motto on Leith's Coat of Arms. Over the generations that's exactly what many Leithers have had to do to survive in an area where life can be tough.
