North end of Constitution Street
A row of fine buildings in this historic thoroughfare. The Exchange Buildings, nearest the camera, adjoin the Assembly Rooms; and beyond the junction stands the domed Corn Exchange.

Exchange Buildings, Constitution Street
The building adjoins the Assembly Rooms and once accommodated Leith's Corn Exchange. Intended to provide a meeting place for Leith merchants, it was completed in 1778 and included a reading-room, a coffee room and a tavern.

Victorian tenement, Leith
A fine bay-windowed tenement which stands where Baltic Street merges into Salamander Street. The surrounding area has been transformed in recent years by the appearance of many new apartment buildings, but it looks as if the quality of this tenement has ensured its survival.
