Bonnington Mill Business Centre
There wasn't a lot of business being done here this evening, but a group of people was playing some sort of game in the car park. Taken from the Water of Leith walkway.

Bonnington Mill Business Centre
The centre is just south of the Water of Leith. There was something noisy going on in the room above the vennel, but it doesn't seem to be a pub or other place of recreation.

Bonnington Bridge plaque
A rather grand way to display a plaque on a bridge which replaced the first bridge over the ford, erected in 1812. Before that the river was crossed via stepping stones which must have been a slippery business at times for the Newhaven fishwives carrying their wares to Edinburgh. The plaque reads, "Bridge built 1902-3 at the joint expense of the Corporations of Edinburgh & Leith. The right hon. Sir James Steel, Bart. Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh; Richard Mackie, Esq. Provost of the Burgh of Leith. David C. Proudfoot City road Surveyor, Engineer"
