War Memorial
It was shocking how many men from this fairly rural parish were lost in the great wars of the 20th century. Each of the four faces lists about 60 casualties.

A Very Bright Telephone Box, Harburn Road, West Calder
This is one of two non-operational phone boxes in West Calder which have been taken over and painted by the very long-named West Calder and Harburn Community Development Trust, who seem to always be busy making the area a better place to live in.
