Tesco Distribution Centre
Emerging from the backwoods of West Lothian, where buildings are mostly farm-related, it came as quite a shock to see what must be one of the most extensive buildings in Scotland. Even though it's several squares distant, it still needed a wide angle focal length to get it all in.

Tesco Distribution Centre from the air
Tesco's Distribution Centre in Livingston (the long white building) opened in 2008, supplying all the company's stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It covers an area of one million square feet. The road haulage company Stobart transports goods from the centre to the Grangemouth rail terminal, whence they are sent on by rail to Inverness for distribution throughout the north of Scotland.

Drumcross
View southwards down a lane towards Livingston. The factories being demolished in the distance are partly within this square, although I suspect the still standing bits are beyond the line. Nearby the land is grazing for a dairy herd.
