A899 bridge
Vast flyover across the Almond and several junction roads on the spine road that runs the length of Livingston between the A71 and the M8. The lesser road running under the bridge here is one of the National Cycle routes, 75 between Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is surprisingly scenic as it passes through Livingston.

Old milestone
This shows how wide the slot was in the top of the milestone near Almondvale Park. This has now been repaired with lime mortar to prevent further deterioration.

Old milestone
On the B7015 near Almondvale Park is another of the typical Calder District Trust milestones. This one has had its own paved area set around it. The stone had a very deep slot in its top which has been repaired.

This Calder District tollroad stone is near Almondvale Park in Livingston. A new town in the 1960s. Glasgow 29 may have been painted on. There is a large slot in the top, damage or weathering.

Fish pass on the River Almond at Livingston
The river has been modified, by the placing of 9000+ tonnes of rock below the Howden Bridge Weir, to create two main channels for fish to pass upstream. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-49677747.
