Bo'ness War Memorial
A granite obelisk on a prominent site in the upper part of the town. You'd think it was summer, with the heather in full bloom, but the tree in the background confirms that it is still only March.

War Memorial
Here are remembered the dead of two World Wars. Bo’ness is a small town and people do not move much so one recognises the names which are now borne by grandsons and great grandsons.

19thC tombstone, Bo'ness Parish Kirk
The close connection between Bo'ness and the sea is very evident in this graveyard.
"It appears, as far as the writer of this account had had an opportunity to learn, that the natives of the town and parish of Bo-ness, are fond of a sea-faring life. Many able-bodied seamen from this place, are at present in his Majesty's service; and are distinguished for their sobriety, courage and loyalty. Adventurers from the place, are also to be found in the most distant parts of the globe." -- Old Statistical Account, 1794
