The Suburbs of Linlithgow
Like most other towns Linlithgow has been expanding over recent decades, and has acquired sprawling housing estates on its outskirts. Their extent is, so far, constrained by the railway line which runs along the embankment beyond the foreground field. On the skyline is Airngath Hill.

New estate, Linlithgow.
With its well loved school, transport links and own industries, Linlithgow is a popular place to live. It has expanded a lot and now the council have only sanctioned a new estate on condition that no families move there.. The school is full.
This is a new estate with some rather biggish houses.
