Gate for the John Buchan Way, Tantah
The gate to the open hillside on the route to Broughton. It would be heavy work today with 30 to 50cm soft snow lying after heavy overnight showers and drifting in the easterly wind.

Soft going on the John Buchan Way
A boggy stretch of ground up from the road on the hillside past Tantah. This part is often muddy, but the recent mild and wet weather has left the ground in particularly succulent condition.

New house near Tantah
A house under construction by the access road to Tantah. It's noteworthy in that the stone colour, window and corner stonework recall the traditional whinstone houses in the town, unlike most modern developments. Compare with Image taken 2 years ago.
