Former level crossing, Edston
The trackbed of the Symington, Biggar & Broughton Railway passes Edston, a farm. The access track to grazing beside the Tweed would have used a level crossing here. Now there are just a couple of gates to open for the modern foot, cycle and horse traffic using the disused railway.

Symington, Biggar and Broughton Railway trackbed
Closed in the 1950s the railway is now a very fine rails to trails conversion between Lyne and Peebles. Very scenic and no path improvements - lovely walking.
