Business premises, Walkerburn
The name Ballantyne has been associated with Walkerburn since Henry Ballantyne (1802 - 1865) founded the village in 1854 to expand his textile business at a site near Caberston farm. The building on the right houses Home Basics, a charity trading in secondhand furniture and household goods.
