Council Houses
After the plethora of listed buildings in Haddington and in the older part of Nungate, these are a rude shock to the eye. Though at least they look well maintained and have not suffered too badly from the insertion of non-matching window frames and different colours of wall paint.

East Lothian Townscape : Swingpark at Nungate, Haddington
No play today. Despite the partial thaw this weekend the remains of the snows of early December still lie on the ground. However, the thaw did not last long as week leading up to Christmas saw the temperatures frequently fall to below -10 degrees Centigrade.
