East Lothian Architecture : Braehead and Treetops, West Road, Haddington
Taking the Edinburgh bus out of Haddington this fine building on West Road would always catch my eye. From this angle it looks like just one house, however the arrangement of the garages, driveways and doors on the south and west elevations suggests that there are 2 dwelling units - Braehead on the top floor and Treetops on the lower 2 floors.

Haddington railway path
A tarred section within the town, not far from the site of Haddington Station where the line terminated. Getting between Pencraig and Traprain appeared not to be to the taste of the engineers who took a route north of the Garleton Hills for what became the East Coast Main Line. Haddington got a spur and there is constant agitation for reopening, but this is unlikely not because of projected use but the main line into Edinburgh is congested.
